Our client provides multi-disciplinary consulting engineering services to the public and private sector across the Prairies and Northern Ontario. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to add an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to the team in Winnipeg. Working closely with the geotechnical leadership team, this individual will hold responsibility for project delivery, supervising the work of junior staff, and client interface with key organizations in the hydropower sector.
Currently, our client is engaged on a mine closure job in Northern Manitoba. They are looking for a Field Engineer who can do geotechnical inspection and supervise the contractor. The project involves clay cover and revegetation of tailings. The ideal candidate would require experience with clay soils, lagoon construction, and field exposure. Understanding construction and management of contractors is an asset. The project is remote, and would be 3 weeks in and 1 week out, on a 2 year contract. This is an ideal opportunity for those who prefer to be out on site rather than behind a desk.
Required Years of Experience: 8 to 15
